We are pleased to inform you that today, 30th March 2026, we launch a new call for applications for the Learn Africa programme, our postgraduate scholarship programme exclusively aimed at African women, which has become one of the Foundation’s most impactful initiatives.

In an increasingly volatile and rapidly changing global context, where promoting African women’s access to quality higher education is more necessary than ever, Learn Africa continues to expand opportunities for academic training, research, and leadership, reaffirming knowledge as a key driver of change and development across the continent. In this edition, the programme will take a significant step forward with the award of more than 100 scholarships, including 28 continuation scholarships for current beneficiaries, alongside a substantial number of new opportunities across a growing range of disciplines.

The 2026 call is particularly marked by the strengthening of partnerships with leading academic institutions, which are expanding their commitment to the programme and contributing to a more diverse academic offer. In this regard, the business school EADA reinforces its participation with the Larsson-Torras scholarship and, most notably, the Planeta Formación y Universidades group doubles its contribution, increasing from 10 to 20 scholarships and incorporating programmes in the field of paramedical health through EDUMED.

The programme also continues to grow with the addition of new partner institutions, such as the FUNIBER group, which offers a Master’s scholarship in Portuguese or French at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico, and the Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville (IRNAS), which joins the programme with an interesting on-site research fellowship.

In terms of fields of study, this edition reinforces its focus on strategic areas such as health and new technologies, while continuing to promote doctoral and Master’s programmes related to Hispanic Studies, with a growing number of doctoral scholarships reflecting the programme’s evolution in recent years.

All information regarding the call —including requirements, conditions, coverage, and the application process— will be available on our website from the launch date. The application period will remain open until 19 April 2026 at 23:59 (Madrid time).
