The Zimbabwe Theatre Academy Trust (ZiTAT) is dedicated to the professionalization of theatre in Zimbabwe through providing specialized and accessible training programs, community outreaches, research, performances, festivals and collaborations that capacitate young people in delivering professional theatre products and services. The sustained need for entrepreneurial and innovative creative skills training and opportunities continues to be the organization’s overarching commitment. ZiTAT values the use of theatre as an empowerment tool for transformation and deriving strategies that create employment opportunities for youths in the service of audiences and indeed livelihoods for the graduates of the academy. Overally, ZTAT intends to contribute to the strengthening and growth of a creative, sustainable, long term theatre development program for youths in Zimbabwe.
